Your tax credit for Political Donations means your contribution costs less.
* Donors who do not pay income tax are unable to benefit from these credits. We appreciate all donations.
Every Canadian may donate up to $1,700 in 2023 to an EDA (all EDAs combined), e.g. to NIPR Green Party EDA, and another $1,700 to each registered political party, e.g. to the Green Party of Canada. For complete rules, see Elections Canada political donation rules.
How will my donation be put to use?
Donations to the Electoral District Association (NIPR Greens) will fund local riding activities on an on-going basis.
- Green Party Outreach and education.
- Communication materials – brochures, mailings to constituents, hand-outs for events etc.
- Technology & software costs to hold town hall meetings, video and/or telephone conference calls if needed.
- Travel for regional representatives and Executive to meet in person quarterly.
- Funds raised in excess of our budget will be transferred to the candidate’s campaign.
