Mark de Bruijn

The Comox Valley has been my home for the past 19 years.

Communication, environmental sanity, sustainability and community have pervaded my professional and personal life. These passions brought me to join the Greens in 2014, serving as CEO of our local riding for the past 7 months.

As a fisheries biologist in the 1970s, I contributed to Canada’s first environmental assessment, ultimately striking down the Prudhoe Bay to Edmonton gas pipeline.

As a school principal, senior teacher, and college instructor I opened young minds to the wonders of science, and the responsibilities of living in a science-based culture.
