It is with mixed emotions that the NIPR executive says goodbye to much loved member of our team, Will Hatch. We are sad to see him go but at the same time we are excited for what his future holds.
Will first joined the NIPR Greens during the 2019 federal election campaign, when he enthusiastically spent many hours knocking on doors and waving signs at passing motorists. He then joined our executive team as youth liaison and social media director, helping to bring Green awareness to our wider community. His youthful energy and intelligent enthusiasm, his ability to calmly listen to sometimes very disparate voices, and his indomitable commitment to Green values in both his personal and public life made him a popular and valuable member of our team. He will be missed.
Will is leaving to focus on his primary goal of successfully graduating in June from Highland Secondary School. In the way of Greta Thunberg, he understands and deeply feels the consequences of climate change and earth’s threatened natural systems. He plans to go on to university to pursue his interests in creating a healthy world for all.
For us at NIPR, getting to know Will has been a great pleasure. It is young leaders like him that inspire and motivate us, and bolster our hope and confidence in the future. Thank you, Will! We wish you all the best and feel excited for your future!
