Why is the Green Party important in 2019? On March 23rd Elizabeth May and Mark de Bruijn launch the campaign for North Island – Powell River. The launch will be held at 3:30pm at the Maritime Heritage Centre in Campbell River.

NIPR Greens 2019 Candidate Nomination Meeting, March 10th. It’s time for the Green Party members of the North Island-Powell River riding to elect their 2019 election candidate! If you are a member in good standing (for 30 days before March 10), you are eligible to vote. Any new or lapsed membership can be renewed at the meeting prior to the vote. Everyone is welcome, but remember, only members can elect a candidate. As a fisheries biologist in the 1970s, I contributed to Canada’s first environmental assessment, ultimately striking down the Prudhoe Bay to Edmonton gas pipeline.
